Our Team of Lifeguards

About Us

The Western Lachine Recreation Center (WLRC) was founded in 1951 in the Carignan Park chalet.

At its beginning, the WLRC was a joint-stock company whose objective was to meet the needs of neighborhood residents in terms of leisure and sports activities.

Today, the WLRC has become a non-profit organization, managed by a board of directors (volunteers).

The Western Lachine Pool was built in 1961, under the initiative of the WLRC.

Over time, the activities of the WLRC have focused on water recreation.

Today, the mission is to offer aquatic programs of a sporting and recreational nature to all its members.

We try to transmit the pleasure of movement and to offer a social meeting place that allows members to create a strong community spirit.

We offer different courses and activities to reach all ages. For example, swimming, diving, synchronized swimming, participation in ALPS competitions, aquafitness, parent-child activities, yoga, bbq and entertainment.

Members of our community have contributed in various ways and this space is made for those who have made contributions in exchange for exposure.
